fanon: colonialism is pure violence, it can only be met/countered by pure violence

fiction that you can be detached but your implicated anyway: the penal colony of Kafka

westerner export leasure to colonies

shame and fear of being laughed at, not respected

radical that goes halfway

humanize "encouter with the enemy"

turning yourself into a master in a way that makes you unconfortable

how we are destroying the cultures we are "saving"
